AMAZING SEAL COLONY IN KAIKOURA | BLUEBRIDGE FERRY TO PICTON - NZ MUST DO

The amazing Seal colony in Kaikoura is a must do if you are travelling the South Island. Just out of Kaikoura, Ohau point, is where you will spot a large Seal colony, swimming and sleeping on the beach. THE START OF AN EPIC ROAD TRIP IN THE SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND! We hired a Spaceship campervan in Auckland and drove it to Wellington on day 1, the next day we caught the Bluebridge ferry from Wellington to Picton, which was beautiful! On the ferry we saw all sorts of marine life. Dolphins chased the ferry, at one point a pod of 50 were swimming around us. We saw multiple Albatross birds flying low to the water looking for food. Once we arrived in Picton we hiked up the Tirohanga track, once at the top you get amazing views over Picton and the Marlborough sounds area. We then drove to Kaikoura, where we encountered a Seal colony in Ohau point, which is famous for spotting Seals. Seals are amazing animals!
