In this video, I break down a long breakfast-to-lunch delivery day in Las Vegas that was almost entirely carried by catering orders. This video matters because it shows what catering-heavy mornings actually look like — including downtime between orders, small problems that pop up, and how a day can still come together without a traditional lunch rush. The day started early in the morning, combining breakfast and lunch into one long run. The first catering order had a close call on the road when a car almost cut me off, and then after completing the drop-off, I realized the order didn’t include serving utensils. Since the restaurant was nearby, I went back to grab them and completed the delivery without too much delay. After that first catering, there was about an hour gap before the second catering, which was a simple nearby drop-off. From there, I headed back toward my home zone and picked up a third catering at a location I deliver to frequently, followed by a fourth catering that was also dropped off close to the pickup. As the day moved into the afternoon, I filled in the remaining time with three DoorDash orders and one Uber Eats order, wrapping up the lunch portion of the day at around $190 by about 1 p.m. All of this was done in the car, covering roughly 73 miles over about 7 hours. Later that evening, I briefly came back out for a short dinner shift, working about 1.5 hours, driving 13 miles, and completing one order for $9, which wrapped up the day. By the end of everything, the total for the day came out to about $199. This video is filmed entirely in POV, and I break down the final earnings, miles, time, and how catering shaped the entire day at the end.
