Our second day’s journey began from Manebhanjan. On this day, we crossed Sandakphu and finally reached the serene and breathtaking Thakum Valley. Every turn on the road towards Sandakphu felt unbelievably beautiful, especially during this winter season—something truly beyond imagination. Throughout the journey, the majestic Kanchenjunga seemed to welcome us warmly, staying by our side for almost the entire route. From Tonglu to Gairibas and Kalapokhri, every place appeared magical, glowing under the soft winter light and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Although we did not trek to Sandakphu, we chose to travel by vehicle, which allowed us to experience the raw beauty of the landscape in a different way.
