He has a special focus in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in the diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic management of chronic pancreatitis, peri-pancreatic fluid collections, and other hepatopancreaticobiliary disorders. Dr. Khan is one of very few physicians in the United States who performs per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) procedures for achalasia, gastro-esophageal junction outlet obstruction, pyloric stenosis, gastroparesis, and other similar motility disorders in children. He also performs advanced resection of complex polyps and lesions, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures, as well as endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR).
