Today I'll be taking a look at a couple of compressors made in the USA by Audio Scape (or is it Audioscape?) Engineering. I'll look at the 76A Limiting Amplifier, which is a faithful clone of the famous 1176 (revision A) compressor from yesteryear. And I'll look at the Opto Leveling Amplifier, another faithful clone of the more-than-famous LA2A compressor. I'll go over the controls and features of each, then I'll plug them in and send some drums, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals through them to see how they sound.
