🏴THE WELSH GUARDS COTTAGE 🏴 Today we stepped inside an old abandoned cottage and it felt like walking back in time.🕑 The house was quiet and simple, almost frozen where it had been left. black and white photographs from the Second World War, old plaques, and memories from the Welsh Guards. They all belonged to a man named John. From what I could see, John lived a very basic life. The cottage was modest, nothing fancy, just the essentials. But everywhere you looked there were reminders of his service photographs of soldiers, regiment plaques, and pieces of history carefully kept. It felt like this small home held the story of a man who had seen far more of the world than the quiet place he returned to in north wales 🏴 Standing there, looking at those old photos, you can’t help but imagine what he must have gone through during the war. The courage it must have taken. The friends he may have lost. Yet he came home and lived quietly, surrounded by the memories of the regiment he served with. Homes like this remind you that behind every war photo and every medal was a real person with a life, a story, and sacrifices most of us will never truly understand. Whoever John was, he must have been a very brave man 🏅🏅🏅 If anyone recognises the photos or knows anything about John or his connection to the Welsh Guards, please feel free to share or get in touch. Stories like this deserve to be remembered. #northwales #urbanphotography #urbandecay #frozenintime #urbanphotography #explore #ww2 #welshguards
