Starting from Fiesch, we take a scenic cable car ride up to Fiescheralp, where our adventure truly begins. Kilian Volken, a seasoned guide with deep knowledge of the glacier's history and geology, provides fascinating insights into the breathtaking landscapes we encounter. I highly recommend hiring a guide to explore the glacier. I was quite apprehensive before going, but I felt secure with Kilian, this experienced guide. Walking on the glacier was an unforgettable experience. With the crampons provided, I had excellent grip with my shoes and there was no slipping; the traction was really good. Some parts may seem intimidating, but my foot contact on the glacier was very secure. Unfortunately, I forgot my GoPro in the car for filming with the drone. I had placed my GoPro in a compartment of my Torvol bag and removed the dividers to fit 2 liters of water in my bag, forgetting that my camera was in one of the compartments.
