香港城市路徑: 閒遊天水圍公園 Part 1 Hong Kong City Travel : Tin Shui Wai Park Part 1 天水圍公園，舊時叫天水圍市鎮公園，係香港一公園同遊樂場，喺天水圍天瑞路六號，係天水圍新市鎮中間大公園，佔地十四公頃八。公園周圍都係大型屋邨，例如嘉湖山莊、嘉湖銀座、天瑞邨同埋天耀邨等等。個公園由康樂及文化事務署管。天水圍公園呈西北同東南向。西便有人工湖，東便有運動場，中間有噴水池。中間偏東地勢稍高。天水圍公園舊時叫天水圍市鎮公園。個公園原本係嘉湖山莊發展項目之一，由長江實業斥資1億1千幾萬港元起嘅。公園分兩期落成，第一期喺1993年3月26號開放，第二期喺1997年1月16號全面開放畀居民使用。公園落成初期，係預留咗大塊草地畀居民用。不過到咗1998年，原有草皮種晒樹，所以唔畀人踩。此外，公園嘅人工湖喺落成初期大受歡迎，可以扒艇，不過之後唔知點解，2003年唔畀扒艇。 Tin Shui Wai Park, formely named as Tin Shui Wai town park, is served as a park and playground in Hong Kong. Located in 6 Tin Shui Road Tin Shui Wai and covering an area of 14 hectares, the park is nestling in the midst of the Tin Shui Wai New Town. It is also surrounded by large housing estates, like Kingswood Villas, Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Estate and Tin Yiu Estate. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It faces northwest and its back faces southeast. West side of the park has artificial lake, east side has a stadium, in the middle of the park lies a big fountain. Terrain is slightly higher in the midde of the park. This park was originally one of the development projects of Kingswood Villas which was invested by CK Asset Holdings Limited at a cost of 11 million. The park was completed in two phases. The first phase was opened on March 26, 1993, and the second phase was fully opened to the public on January 16, 1997. In the early days of the opening, there is a big turf reserved for the public, but in 1998, trees were planted on those turfs and since then, no one is allowed to be there. Furthermore, people are allowed to boat pedal in the artificial lake when it was opened to the public back in 1997. But somehow for no apparent reason boat pedalling was banned in 2003.
