According to the agreement between South Korea and Poland, K2PL tanks and K9 self-propelled howitzers will be produced in Poland. An agreement was signed between the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem and the Polish company Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa. According to the agreement, K2PL tanks will be produced at the Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne military plant in Poznan. With the agreement, a South Korea-Poland joint venture was established for the production of K2 tanks. With this initiative, South Korean tanks and howitzer systems will be produced locally in Poland. Poland establishes military relations with South Korea as an alternative power. With the agreement, the Polish company Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa will initially assemble the tanks. It will then manufacture the hull and turret, chassis, gun parts and autoloaders, as well as other tank components. The agreement also includes technical and infrastructural conditions for the provision of production, repair and maintenance services in Poland throughout its life cycle. Along with the production, an agreement was reached for the export of tanks and howitzers produced in Poland to third countries. An agreement was signed between Hanwha Defense, the manufacturer of K9 howitzers along with the K2PL tanks, and the Polish company Huta Stalowa Wola SA. Within the framework of the agreement, it was decided to integrate and assemble the K9PL howitzers in the first stage, and to manufacture the K9PL howitzers in the HSW factories in Stalowa Wola, Poland in the second stage. Poland signed a contract with South Korea for the K2 Black Panther tank, the K9 Thunder howitzer and the FA-50PL aircraft. By the end of 2022, the first batch of howitzers and tanks ordered had arrived in Poland. Poland will receive a total of 1000 K2PL tanks from Korea. The second delivery to Poland, which will receive 600 more howitzers after the first 48 K9 howitzers, will be made in 2024 and K9 howitzers will be produced in Poland from 2026. 48 units of FA-50 aircraft will be customized according to the request of the Polish Air Force. That's why the planes will be called the FA-50PL.
