An engineer reached out to me after I made the last video about my F-250 and said he could solve the dreaded excessive wheel oscillation. Roy knows this issue inside and out and had a few simple tests we could run on the truck to quickly pin point the cause of the death wobble. Within minutes we found the problem and spent the rest of our time trying to reproduce it, which happens to be one of the hardest problems techs face. If you can't properly diagnose it the truck gets a steering stabilizer and kicked back down the road to fail again in a few thousand miles as the stabilizer wears out. I also have it on pretty good authority that CarMax doesn't work on heavy duty trucks at all so all of this is actually being done at a Ford dealer down the road.
