Here is the full Pop'n Pop OST, remastered by yours truly. Note that this isn't an attempt to mix the music differently with shitty MIDI files and soundfonts, all I've done was take the original PlayStation audio, and cleaned up the audio so you can actually hear it, which is what you see here. Notes: This is a deviation from my usual rule of "no recorded OSTs", but I felt like I could make an exception of this rule for this game, as I love this game, and literally no one has uploaded the OST, which is odd. Taito, to my knowledge, hasn't even released the OST officially either, which is odd considering almost everything ZUNTATA has put out has seen a release on an album. To make this remaster, I ripped the audio from the .xa files, and from the .str of the intro file in the case of the intro song. As for the intro song, I had to extend it a bit, as the the version on the European version had a completely soundless version, but was somewhat short, yet the version on the Japanese edition was longer, but had sounds. For all of the songs, I had to upscale the sampling rate a bit from 38700hz (as it is the standard sampling rate of the .xa audio format) to the more standard 44100hz, for compatibility reasons, but I believe this shouldn't affect the sound quality. Anyways, please play Pop'n Pop, and definitely play the PlayStation and/or PC version. It's generally a more finished game than the original arcade version, and those versions are worth it for playable Bub and Ptolemy alone, in my opinion. Want more remastered video game OSTs?
