Saturday August 17 2013 at 12.50. The 11.03 London to Leeds (13.25) train heading north on the East Coast Main Line just south of Doncaster. In July 2012 a hooded 15 year old, who was living with foster parents, walked across the tracks "in a world of his own" as a 100 mph train approached. This is a densely populated residential area with, noticeably, lots of teenagers around. The unusual noise was a waiting youth trying to fix his bike chain. There was a station here until 1958. Rossington is in South Yorkshire and has a population of 14,000. It was a mining village. A car in front can be seen ignoring the red lights. This is the most northerly level crossing on this site at present.
