Civic Leaders Summer Summit 2023

PAAIA's Farokhzad Civic Leaders Summit brought together 33 Iranian American high schoolers and counselors from across the country to gain leadership skills, learn about civic engagement, create lasting friendships, and make a difference in their communities! Through discussions, workshops, cultural activities, and firsthand experiences, participants learned to articulate their shared values and respond effectively to challenges facing their communities. They explored their Iranian American identity, developed personal narratives and storytelling skills, met with lawmakers about policies that are important to them, and heard directly from Iranian Americans who work in public service.
