Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade revealed how they took the town of Andriivka, near Bakhmut. The breakthrough, to the south of the city, took place towards the end of September - but video of the full assault has only just been released. In the first-person footage, an assault squad of the 3rd Brigade attack Russians dug into a tree-line which has been devastated by tank and artillery shells. Advancing through the moon-like landscape, they work as a team to flush the Russians out. They urge the enemies to surrender, but when they refuse they use grenades to finish them. At one point a Ukrainian soldier comes almost face-to-face with his enemy, but somehow fails to hit him despite shooting at almost point-blank range. One of the Ukrainian troops is hurt in the shooting, prompting a push to finish their enemies. The 3rd Assault eventually took Andriivka after months of heavy fighting. The nearby town of Klishchiivka also fell, giving them access to advantageous high-ground. But the aim of encircling Bakhmut ultimately fell short, and now the Russian are pushing back. #dailymail #russia #ukraine Daily Mail Homepage: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ Daily Mail Facebook: / dailymail Daily Mail IG: / dailymail Daily Mail Snap: / 8392137033 Daily Mail Twitter: / mailonline Daily Mail Pinterest: https://pinterest.co.uk/dailymail Get the free Daily Mail mobile app: https://dailymail.co.uk/mobile
