Fairchild C-123K Provider / N22968 Air Heritage Inc. Departure: Beaver Falls County Airport (BFP/BVI), USA Touch & go: Youngstown Warren Regional Airport (YNG) Arrival: Beaver Falls County Airport (BFP/BVI), USA Date: June 28th, 2024 ----------------------------------------------------- A trip report on Air Heritage's C-123K, which is the only Provider flying in the world. The aircraft took us from its base Beaver Falls to Youngstown for a touch and go, and return to Beaver Falls. The Provider was ordered in fiscal year 1954 and built in 1956 for the USAF, but has never seen service in Vietnam. It placed into a boneyard in Arizona from 1981 to 1994, until it was saved from Air Heritage and beautifully restored. Our flight took as across the Pennsylvanian countryside into Ohio, and upon return a couple of S-turns were needed to maintain separation to the smaller Raven aircraft you can see at the very end of the video. The departure and landing are from our flight, recorded by a fellow Air Heritage member. A big thank you goes out to the fantastic Air Heritage Museum crew for making this flight possible to us, we received unmatched hospitality and truly enjoyed our stay in Beaver Falls.
