This is the first of four videos of Kentucky based fiddler Daniel Carwile jamming with Oregonians Anne and Scott Sumner at Clifford's Tavern in Weiser, Idaho, during the National Old-time Fiddlers' Contest, June 2015. Clifford's Tavern is a small, cinder block watering hole which has a long-standing history of being a popular hangout for musicians. Especially during the weeks in June when the town of Weiser is invaded by the Old-time music crowd. During that time it is not at all unusual for fiddlers and pickers to show up at Clifford's impromptu at any time to play some tunes. Scott and Anne have been regulars at Clifford's for years. Daniel has been to Weiser a multitude of times over the years to compete in or judge the fiddle contest, but this was his first visit to Clifford's.
