E-Bike project EP 5: In this episode I completed the assembly of my mid drive motor. Aluminum parts are anodized. Plastic parts are painted with a similar color. Motor assistance is enabled by a pas sensor to be legal in Europe. The speed is read from a common sensor of a cycle computer connected to the controller. The controller is a brushless s06, 6 mosfets 7-15A. The system is tested with a laboratory power supply, in the next episode the battery will be made. I build an e-bike mid motor starting from a wheel motor hub (geared brushless sensored). In this case I used a geared hub motor for scooters, similar to 8fun motor. The video is long but it shows every single procedure to obtain a motor with a rotating axle on which to mount the chain sprocket.
