7 of my all time favorite Thomas Newman songs. Best used when raining. Seriously though, I love making and writing all sorts of music. But this is where my heart belongs. Soundtracks. There's something amazing about translating an actors emotions into a score. And that's what a good composer can do. Take the feeling an actor/director is trying to create and enhance it. I always say that an excellent soundtrack is the one that fits the film so well that you don't even know it's there.
