Day 2 of our Alta Via 1 trek in the Dolomites takes us from Refugio Sennes all the way to Refugio Scotoni, the longest and most challenging stage of our 3-day adventure. We set off early, enjoyed stunning weather, and passed through two beautiful mountain huts: Refugio Pederu and Refugio Fanes. Along the way, we fueled up on Coke and barley soup, admired breathtaking mountain views, and prepared ourselves for the famous steep descent down to the turquoise lake before Refugio Scotoni. At the end of the day, we reached Refugio Scotoni, surrounded by hikers and the lively energy of the Dolomites.
