Over the past few weeks I've received some comments and questions on how to set your PSI (air pressure) correctly. So I decided to make this quick video to help out any new airbrush artists. It's super easy to do, all you need to do is make sure you are spraying air while you adjust the regulator. Once you set it to your desired pressure, you're done. When you release your airbrush trigger you'll see the PSI raise, but that is not what you are actually spraying at. When you begin spraying again, you'll see the number drop back to what you set it at. Easy! Regarding the best air pressure, there is no answer to this. Everyone prefers a different psi. A good starting place is somewhere between 25-30 psi, give or take. If the paint is thicker you may have to spray higher than that. In all of my paintings on this channel, I'm using reduced createx illustration colors and am generally spraying at around 20psi, sometimes higher and sometimes lower. Again, this is all personal preference. Hope this video is helpful.
