Alex the Rabbit (Xbox Series X) (Xclusive Indie Playthrough - Finale) The Creepy Spider Cave

Check the finale of my Xclusive Indie Playthrough series featuring the game Alex the Rabbit! This game released on the Xbox family of consoles on March 1st, 2026. It was developed by Well Andrade & published by Well Game Studio. In this video, I explore the Spider's Cave & complete each of the five (5) levels along with the boss level for this world. Alex the Rabbit is a 2D, pixel-art platforming game that revolves around a boy named Alex, who loves to dress up in a rabbit costume & collect as many carrots as he can. Alex travels around the world collecting carrots while also defeating the evil enemies that have started to plague the world. There really isn't much in terms of story in this game as this game pays homage to old school, retro-style platformers such as Super Mario Bros. I would say that Super Mario Bros. is probably the biggest inspiration to this game as they share a lot of the same elements. Alex can run and jump around the various levels in this game while either defeating enemies by jumping on top of them or avoiding them altogether. The slight difference here is, of course, the types of enemies in this game, but also that this game actually includes a stamina bar (which depletes as you sprint as Alex, but can also be replenished by collecting and eating chocolate bars. The gameplay in this game is very similar to what you would expect from a retro platformer. It's fairly easy to pick up and play thanks to the simple controls which comprise of the following: moving left and right using the Left Stick or Left & Right on the D-Pad, climbing up and down ladders using the Left Stick or Up and Down on the D-Pad (which is also used to drop down very thin ledges), jumping with the A Button, running/sprinting with the Right Trigger and squatting/crawling with the X Button. The game includes a total of 4 worlds (each with their own theme/biome): The Forest of Larvae, The Crab Beach, The Penguin Mountain and The Spider's Cave. Interestingly enough, each of the world's names actually includes the type of enemy that you'll primarily encounter while exploring each level within each world. Speaking of levels, each world includes a total of 5 platforming levels while also including a boss level at the end of each world (which must be completed before being able to move on to the next world). Finally, with regards to the achievements in this game: Alex the Rabbit includes a total of 20 achievements for a total of 1000 GS. The best part is that this is actually a game that you can stack as it currently has three (3) different versions: a Windows version, an Xbox One version and an Xbox Series X/S version. This means that it's a no brainer for achievement hunters such as myself. Seven (7) of the achievements revolve around completing each of the first 7 levels while another achievement revolves around completing the 1st world/island. Eleven (11) of the achievements are related to defeating various amounts of enemies (four (4) achievements), collecting various amounts of carrots (five (5) achievements) & collecting various amounts of extra lives (hearts) (two (2) achievements). The final achievement is actually the only achievement that is technically missable as it requires you to defeat the 1st boss with 3 or more lives (which is actually nowhere near as hard as it may seem). Since this game is level based it's fairly easy to just focus on playing through the game and not worrying about the achievements as you can always revisit any level while mopping up any achievements or collectibles you may have missed the first time around (most of the achievements will be unlocked through natural play though). That being said, this is a really easy completion that should take you around 20 minutes to unlock all of the achievements while also taking around an hour to beat the whole game.
