When performing Laparoscopic tubal ligation, laprocator is the main instrument used which is inserted through the outside sheath, and manipulated for the ligation procedure Laparoscopic tubal ligation is a quick procedure requiring less than 15 mins in expert hands It requires very short hospital stay and the patient is kept on a day care basis for observation. It is usually performed through single puncture technique in camps entering the peritoneal cavity through direct trocar puncture. Head is kept in15 degree trendelenberg position, bladder is evacuated and after local xylocaine infilteration in to the rectus sheath about 3 CM below the umbilicus a small stab incision is given with a scalpel. Verres needle should be used for safer entry to the peritoneal cavity. Falope's rings are loaded in the laprocator, usually two for bilateral ligation. In LTT, failure rates are approx 1 percent, which can be minimised by careful selection of the site of application of rings. This is also important to keep the option of reversal open if the location is ampullary . An attempt should be made to stay away from the vascular plexus in the mesosalpinx to avoid hemorrhagic complications. The case should be properly selected ruling out obese, previous multiple cesarean or any other abdominal surgery undergone or with history of asthama or any pulmonary medical ailment. Hypertension should be ruled out.
