SANGAM–E–SUR: A SYMPHONY OF CULTURE AND UNITY IN DRAS | DRASS LADAKH Fire and Fury Corps Organises ‘Sangam–e–Sur’ in Dras, Promotes Local Talent and Strengthens Civil–Military Bond In Ladakh, the Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army organised a vibrant cultural and musical festival titled Sangam–e–Sur at Dras today, providing a significant platform for local artists to showcase and nurture their talent. The event witnessed participation from civil administration officials, local residents, youth, and Army personnel. More than 600 people attended the programme, reflecting strong civil–military cooperation in the region. Six solo artists from the area enthralled the audience with soulful performances, while a group dance presentation and an impressive display by the Indian Army’s Jazz Band added grandeur to the evening. The programme highlighted the Indian Army’s continued efforts not only in safeguarding the borders but also in supporting and grooming local talent by offering opportunities for exposure and encouragement. Local residents appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for consistently engaging with the community and creating constructive platforms for youth. They said such events motivate young artists of Ladakh to pursue their passion and strengthen bonds of unity and harmony. The festival concluded with a message of cultural pride, youth empowerment, and strengthened cooperation between the Armed Forces and the people of Ladakh.
