It helps in significantly reducing time needed to examine the entire small bowel compared to the past generation double balloon enteroscopes. It also helps in diagnosis and treatment of occult GI bleed and also enables us to take biopsies from anywhere in small bowel thus helping in diagnosis of many difficult diagnose conditions.
