Assam Flood Fury: Nearly 90 People Killed, Over 70 Lakh Displaced; NDRF Teams On Rescue Mission

The numbers keep getting grim as Assam floods have now spread to 2,323 villages in the state. A total of 89 deaths have been reported so far as the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) continue its rescue operations. While 1,15,515.25 hectares of crop areas have been damaged across Assam, 120 animals have lost their lives with the rising water at Kaziranga National Park.
