Come along as I share the story of an epic beach session with a flock of sanderlings, the shoreline’s ultimate sprinters. From their lightning-fast wave-chasing style 🌊⚡, to their unique three-toed feet 🦶🐦, to their seasonal wardrobe change 🍂❄️, these tiny birds are full of surprises. Sticking together for safety, coordination, and sheer style points 😎✨. Along the way, I’ll share humour and facts 🎣💨💙. 📸 All sanderling footage was filmed on my Canon 90D, before my upgrade to the R7, which I now use for vlogging commentary. *I'VE BEEN WADING FOR YOU is my attempt to patiently step into the shallows, waiting for the waders to arrive. With summer in South Africa on the horizon, every careful movement along the beaches and through the wetlands becomes both a labour of love and a reminder of how fragile these encounters truly are. This journey is not only about the thrill of drawing close, but also about cherishing and protecting the wild places and birds that give it meaning.
