Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum situated on the right bank of the Yamuna river Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Its construction work was started in 1631 by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan for housing the tomb of his beloveda wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it is also known to house the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.
