Scope & Opportunities after MDS in Oral Pathology & Microbiology | MDS After BDS | What After Dentistry We conducted an interactive session with Dr Sandhya Tamgadge to discuss "Scope & Opportunities after MDS in Oral Pathology & Microbiology". She is an Oral Pathologist, and Professor working in DY Patil University, School of Dentistry, Mumbai since last 20 years. She completed her MDS from GDC Nagpur in 1998. She is the only Oral Pathologist who has learned 3D animation and created histopathological aspects of various diseases like Lichen Planus, Oral Submucous Fibrosis, Epithelial Dysplasia, Tooth Development, etc. She has designed all these 3d videos and published in various national and international journals. She has also her YT channel, where she teaches carving to students and has more than 300 citations in her name. She has received many awards for scientific research and developing innovative teaching methods. She is also known for her tremendous research work in oral histopathology and one of her research has also been displayed in DCI webinar recently. Apart from this, she also has a keen interest in learning sign language to educate disabled patients and is continuous working to increase patient awareness and education related to oral health and hygiene.
