In this Psalm 77 sermon, Pastor T. Wilson shares how to be DILIGENT in despair—how to keep seeking God when He feels silent, distant, or forgotten. Asaph cries out, “My soul refused to be comforted” (Psalm 77:2), asks raw questions like “Has His mercy ceased forever?” and “Has God forgotten to be gracious?” (Psalm 77:7–9), but then chooses a turning point: “This is my infirmity… BUT I will remember the works of the LORD” (Psalm 77:10–12). [Psalm 77:1–15, NKJV] In this message we walk verse by verse through Psalm 77 and learn: How to cry out honestly to God when you can’t sleep and can’t speak (vv.1–4) How to bring your hardest questions to God instead of walking away (vv.7–9) What it means for your spirit to “make diligent search” in the middle of despair (v.6) The three disciplines that shift your heart: remember, meditate, and talk of God’s works (vv.11–12) How to move from “Has God changed?” to “Who is so great a God as our God?” (vv.13–15) If you’re battling depression, spiritual dryness, sadness, or feel like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling, this Psalm 77 teaching is for you. God has not changed. Your feelings don’t get the final word—His works do. 📖 Key Scriptures: Psalm 77:1–15 – The troubled heart remembers God’s great works 💬 QUESTION: Where have YOU been tempted to give up—prayer, church, worship, the Word?
