In this video I’ll demonstrate how to create a “leather” bag tag you can make at home in under an hour! These tags are suitable for use on external bags, wallets, backpacks, and more. We’ll create them using household devices and simple materials: FOR THE BASIC VERSION YOU’LL NEED: A software program such as Microsoft Publisher, Word, etc. (or equivalent for Mac) to create your logo and cutting guides. An inkjet printer (with toner) A sheet of standard paper Masking tape Faux Suede sheets from Cricut (available at all major craft stores and online through Amazon or Cricut) Clear spray paint (satin or matte finish) Exacto knife or rotary cutter Ruler or straightedge AN EASY WAY TO CREATE PRINTABLE LABELS: • Let's Use Avery Labels Instead of Publishe... TO TAKE IT UP A NOTCH—ADD THE FOLLOWING: Scrap vinyl (at least 8.5” x 11”) Adhesive spray (permanent grip) Black fabric marker (optional but recommended) Parchment paper (to protect your work surface) TO MAKE THEM READY TO SELL ON ETSY—SWAP OUT THE MARKER FOR: Edge coat base (I use Giardini from buckleguy.com) Edge coat paint (I use Giardini from buckleguy.com) Applicator of your choice (The tools I’m using in the video were purchased from Amazon). BUTUZE Leather Edge Roller https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H3LDS3H/... Thanks to Christina Fein for the good tip about the roller applicator—it’s amazing! Clips (or another way to support your tags while they dry) Sandpaper (optional) If you’d like a detailed tutorial demonstrating how I created the print file for these tags, please let me know in the comments section. I’m happy to explain! I’m new to YouTube and would love if you’d subscribe to my channel and help me grow. My goal is to help you access solutions to some of the little tasks/troubles we encounter while crafting and sewing. Finding ways to use our cutting machine to create templates, guides, and patterns means we spend less on store-bought tools so we can put our money toward the good stuff . . . fabric, materials and more machines!
