This is my first Concorde model and my first Air France model. I pre-ordered this from http://eztoys.com This is a highly anticipated model so get yours before they go. I highly recommend this model because it is such an awesome model and they will sell out very quick. Concorde was a turbo-jet, supersonic aircraft built by British and French aircraft manufacturers, BAC (British Aircraft Corporation) and Aerospatiale. Concorde had the ability to fly at Mach 2.4 (2179km/h or 1354mph) and was the only passenger aircraft able to do so since it had turbo-jet engines. It also had the capacity to seat 92 to 128 passengers with a maximum range of 3900nmi. Other useful facts about Concorde include a service ceiling of 60,000ft, maximum nose tip temperature of 127°C, and runway requirement at maximum payload of 3600m. It was withdrawn from use 60% of the way through it’s D-check after the announcement was made that the Concorde Program was shutting down in 2003. It was cosmetically reassembled and is now on display at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
