Proposed Chuckwalla National Monument: Salton Sea to Joshua Tree along the Bradshaw Trail

In this adventure we explorer the proposed ChuckWalla National Monument. We start at the Salton Sea and head east on the Bradshaw Trail. Along the way we stop at the Kaiser Steel's abandon railroad Trestle that was used to hall ore from their Eagle Mountain Mine to the Fontana Steel Plant. We camp and explore the mining ruins in Red Cloud Canyon before heading through Joshua Tree to the western edge of the Eagle Mountain Mine. Be aware that this area is currently being successfully managed by the BLM and if approved as a National Monument numerous recreational activities would be restricted, so go explorer it now before they close it off to adventure!
