I am a board-certified cosmetic surgeon and I practice at The Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery in Lynnwood, Washington just north of Seattle. Today, we're going to discuss breast augmentation and breast surgery. Breast augmentation is basically a procedure that helps enhance the size, shape and symmetry of a woman's breast. There are a lot of factors that are involved in making that decision. The proper placement, the proper style, the type, the amount of tissue, the quality of the tissue, and the desires of the woman and what size they want to be. The main reasons initially, and a lot of it has to do with the age of presentation. Younger women who happen to have smaller breasts are usually looking for just a larger size, may be more proportionate to their body. They may be a little smaller so they want a little more shape and projection.
