After seven years of silence, Kyrkogård resurfaces from the dim catacombs of their own creation, breathing life into a vision long entombed, not merely marking a return, it is a resurrection, a necromantic pulse that beats through the soil of grief and devotion, now blossoming into soundscape mournful but enticingly transcendent, where blackened death and doom intertwine with a certain gothic fervour, as their roots reach deep into the sorrowful and divine decaying humus. The album unfolds like a funeral mass illuminated by candlelight and trembling hands, where anguish and reverence become indistinguishable. The interplay between male and female vocals summons both the sacred and the profane, as ethereal chants drift above cavernous growls, as though angels and demons were locked in dialogue. Guitars and bass coil around each other in a serpentine embrace, building a dense lattice of melancholy and grandeur, while the percussion tolls as a distant bell echoing through the crypts of time.
