Virtual Resident Education Lecture Series: Autonomic Disorders - American Academy of Neurology

In this new series, a speaker is invited to present on a specific topic each month; it is free, open to all, and lasts one hour—with room for Q&A. The March speaker is Amro Stino, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology, Director of Peripheral Neuropathy Clinic, and Co-Director of Autonomic Lab, University of Michigan who spoke about a bird’s eye view of autonomic disorders, when to consider them, a proposed algorithmic and systematic approach to their clinical and diagnostic evaluation, a review of autonomic testing, and how it ties into clinical evaluation, and a brief discussion of some treatment options. Learners should emerge with a general approach on how to screen for and evaluate (either at their centers or specialized centers) for autonomic disorders.
