Kitten UnBoxing #25 -Meet the Cat Lady kittens! These babies came to us with fleas so I used food grade Diatomaceous Earth powder on their coats the first night they were with us. I'm including a link below if you'd like to read about it. DE powder is really affordable and easy to use. I dip my hands in the powder and then rub it into their fur. Super easy. It's also great for furniture and carpet. I spread some under the foster bathroom door that night to help keep the fleas from traveling around the house. DE powder can also help kill off ringworm and ear mites so it is an excellent resource to keep on hand if you foster often. It's completely safe for the kittens and will not harm them if ingested. All of the fleas were dead the next night when I gave them a bath. DE powder can really dry out their skin if left on for too long so you MUST bathe them 12-24 hours later.
