This year I reviewed 128 cigars. Of those 122 were widely available and 6 were limited/shop exclusive releases. Of course, I review the newer releases. If it came out this year or late last year that's what I reviewed for the most part. The highest score I gave was 96.67; the lowest was 80 I decide to put my top cigars into a play-off type system comparing high scores from earlier in the year to those later in the year. This way I could get a true number 1 as it would be compared to the other very good cigars smoked during the year. This would also mean that a highly rated cigar may not fall into a highly rated position after the comparisons were complete. All bets are off. It's every cigar battling to get the coveted spot. The cut-off score for top cigars was 93.67 and above. There were 34 cigars in this category. From these I would gather my Top 25. The cigars in each category fell like this: 93.67 + = 34 (eligible for top 25) (would buy again) 92.33-93.33 = 26 (probably buy again) 90-92 = 36 (may buy again) Less than 90 = 32 (would not buy again) After a month of comparing the top cigars here is my list of the Top 25 cigars of 2021.
