The Mouse That Rocked: The Art of Stanley Mouse Born in Southern California in 1940, Stanley “Mouse” Miller is best known for the album art and concert posters he produced for some of the most important musicians and bands of the 20th century, including the Grateful Dead, Journey, the Steve Miller band, and more. Mouse spent his formative years in Detroit, immersed in the city’s Hot Rod culture and the emergence of Motown music. There, he was first introduced to the pinstriping and airbrushing techniques that became part of his signature style. The artist eventually settled in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, where he expanded his lexicon of imagery, incorporating art historical and design references reimagined for the Acid Age. This selling exhibition includes examples of Mouse’s most iconic compositions, allowing collectors to own a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history by a visionary artist.
