Vanguard got a couple of Divekick buffs in patch 11.0 that makes it a legit build. Grapnel Launcher damage now scales based on difficulty Tenacity: The perk has been reworked. “After a Ranged kill Majoris-level or higher enemy, Diving Kick's Damage increases by 130%. Cooldown 15 seconds.” Collateral Damage: Increase damage by Diving Kick to 50%. Dive Kick: From my testing the base damage of divekick on absolute difficulty is 112.8. With Collateral Damage it goes up to 169.2. And with both Collateral Damage & Tenacity it goes to 315.84. Warriors have 308 hp so we can one shot a majoris with "Tenacity" up You can even increase the damage of divekick by using perks "Melee Mastery" and "Melee Champion", but I don't think it is worth taking those since "Inner Fire" is needed for more grapples and no knockback perk(Upper Hand) is more important than a little bit of extra damage. Speaking of "Upper Hand" we also tested out reworked perk "Moving Target": “Killing an enemy at a range of 30m or more restores Ability Charge by 5%.”, which is on the same column. So was it worth it? I would say no, because the no knockback was felt in the run and we didn't get much value out of the ability recharge. The recharge is too low and the condition is difficult. Even bolt sniper extra damage condition is from 25m or more. So if even sniper can trigger his perks for long range shot more easily than vanguard it is not a good thing, since vanguard doesn't excel at long range kills. If I were to revisit this build I would not pick this perk. Heroic Chainsword got buffed this patch as well and we test out the changes. You can now chain lights after punch → shoulderbash or light1 → punch → stomp. Which makes the combat so much smoother. We are also able to use the double stomp after light1 → punch → stomp. We even got a new combo in dash attack → kick → stomp. Which can chain into double stomp or lights. Heroic Chainsword is a really good weapon now and definitely worth the accolades points. Heroic Heavy Bolt Pistol is probably the worst heroic in the game because it has extremely low ammo with a lackluster passive. It just allows you to cancel reinforcements with one shot anywhere. If you have a clear shot with regular HBP you can 2 shot to the head to cancel. If enemies are on top of you and preventing you from stopping reinforcements then this gun isn't going to help in those scenarios anyway because the accuracy is low and you'll get killed for trying to stop the reinforcements. The only plus it has is that it actually does a little more damage than damage variant HBP. That means it has the highest gunstrike damage in the game. It does 5.7 more gunstrike damage that damage variant HBP and BP. Not worth unless you are doing a max gunstrike damage build and don't care about ammo. New Equipment: Sanctified Wrath "Upon use, the player's melee damage is increased by 25% for 15 seconds, and the player is immune to knockbacks. When used, enemies within a small radius are pushed back." I only got this equipment at the end of the run, but It is very good with melee builds. I haven't been able to test if it increases divekick damage, but if it does I think you should pick it up all the time for this build. They just need to add an indicator for when it is on. I don't know when it ends.
