Depredation for the Benefit of Many

This is a new adventure - I have a friend who really struggled with crop destruction so a little research and a good relationship with our DNR, depredation tags were given and I am once again on a learning curve that I thoroughly enjoy. People will enjoy organic protein for the fall and summer, my friend is happy, I got exercise that I require to stay as healthy as I can. One of the things both the farmer and I wanted was to be sure the deer were not just left to lay, something I was surprised to hear happens. My favorite processor, Fender Four Star, has generously agreed to help and so we have a well oiled machine now! For those of you who might wonder, 22 years sober was because of opiates prescribed for pain when I was young. I added alcohol toward the end of an 18 year addiction and was shooting an incredible amount of demerol that I manipulated many doctors to obtain...it was a wild, horrible ride, and the last 22 years have been beyond amazing. IF anyone wants to know more about that, I'll post a video about my experience here! HOPEFULLY I got the kinks worked out and can get better over the fall when I can get out there!
