Richard Dormer chats with Noah about his new series 'The Watch' premiering on BBC America January 3, 2021 along with sharing what he misses the most from 'Game of Thrones.' Perhaps best known to audiences around the world as the Lightning Lord ’Beric Dondarrion’ in Game of Thrones, he’ll be seen this winter as 'Captain Sam Vimes’ in The Watch, BBC AMERICA’s newest original series. The Watch follows an unlikely group of misfits, The City Watch, who are forced to find the guts to save the world, surprising even themselves in the process. The comedic yet thrilling series pits trolls, werewolves, wizards and other improbable heroes against an evil plot to resurrect a great dragon which would lead to the destruction of life as they know it. From lead writer and executive producer Simon Allen, the modern and inclusive series is inspired by the characters created by Sir Terry Pratchett’s famous “Discworld” novels. Richard Dormer is best known for his award-winning work in Game of Thrones. He recently took center stage as ‘Sheriff Dan Anderssen’ in the psychological thriller Fortitude, and the political drama series Cobra.
