On November 7th of 2014, on the Circuit Paul Ricard located at Le Castellet in South of France, I have reached a speed of 333 km/h on a rocket-propelled bicycle, after only 4.8 seconds of acceleration. A velocity of more than 300 km/h on a skinny and completely stripped bicycle, this is amazing, and a bit crazy! Who thought that one day a daredevil on a bicycle, with a rocket under the saddle, could travel the quarter mile in less than 7 seconds? Some data: 0 to 333 km/h in 4.8 seconds Thrust: 4.51 kN / 460 kgf Peak acceleration: 3.05 g Average acceleration: 1.96 g Peak deceleration at rocket shutoff (due to the aerodynamic drag): -1.4 g I’d like to thank: Arnold Neracher The staff of the Circuit Paul Ricard TF1 Automoto Daily Planet - Discovery Channel / Exploration Production Inc.
