The UK’s leading female a cappella quintet, Black Voices bring a distinctively British gospel sound, mixing English church-singing, African and Caribbean influences, including reggae, into their songs. Based in Birmingham, the group is Sandra Francis, Evon Johnson-Elliot, Shereece Storrod, Celia Wickham-Anderson and Carol Pemberton, founder of the group, who recently received an MBE for services to music. They came into the Melbourne RN studios to perform exclusively for The Rhythm Divine Black Voices are in Australia for their fourth tour: Melbourne 30th October, Adelaide 31st October, and Sydney 2nd November 2014.
