When I first saw this Rum, I thought it was from some far away tropical land. I was totally shocked to find out that it was actually from Wales. Pembrokeshire to be exact. Barti uses typical Spiced Rum spices, but also has the addition of Seaweed…even though you can’t taste the seaweed at all. One point to note though, legally this ISN’T a Spiced Rum. It’s a Rum based Spirit Drink as it’s only 35% ABV. But. It’s a mighty tasty Spirit Drink. As far as mixing it goes, I personally love it with Ting. That’s my favourite mixer. I wasn’t expecting that at all, but it just works. Coke and Ginger Beer came in second and third. Then Fentimans Tropical Soda in fourth place. Interestingly, I didn’t think Fever Tree Spiced Orange Ginger Ale worked at all…but… I will revisit that!
