Korean Braised Spicy Chicken. I made another one of my wife's favourite Korean meals! Take a look at the easy recipe and enjoy the food :) When my wife and I started dating she made this meal for me, so today I finally got to return the favor and make it for her lunch :) Ingredients: 3 cups water 8 chicken drumsticks 4 small potatoes 2 small onions 2 large green onions 1/2 carrot 1 large garlic clove 4 tbsp sugar 1/3 cup red pepper flakes (In the video I did a bit more, but I think 1/3 is enough) 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 tbsp ginger black pepper to taste Step 1: Blanch the chicken for 2 minutes, strain and rinse Step 2: Cut the vegetables (large pieces as shown in the picture) Step 3: Boil 3 cups of water and add the chicken, potato, carrots, onions and sugar. (boil for 5 minutes on high heat Step 4: Add the Korean chili flakes. (turn the heat to medium high) Step 5: Add the Soy Sauce Step 6: Add the ginger and garlic Step 7: add pepper to taste Step 8: Add the green onions a few minutes before serving. Step 9: Enjoy :) *Some recipes will add other veggies and peppers. I just wanted to keep this one simple for all of you, and well, I think the cheongyang gochus are to spicy haha. Feel free to add anything you'd like. Also, this recipe can easily be adjusted to the saltiness, spiciness, and sweetness level you'd like.
