John Denver, Maple Leaf Gardens, March 21, 1980 -- part 1 of 18

part 1-It was a dark & stormy night (actually it was). Spring was beating back winter with rain, snow, wind & flooded streets. We traversed said flooded streets in our pumpkin coloured carriage (the tiniest school bus you have ever seen) and alit at the front doors of the fabled Maple Leaf Gardens. The houselights went down, the spotlights glowed, and John Denver strode onto the stage, picked up his guitar, and proceeded to weave over 2 hours of pure magic. Please forgive any odd glitches in the following video (there are a total of 18 parts), I was working with 33 year old cassette tape and 35mm film. This is my first YouTube upload. As with all the other interesting firsts in my life, John Denver sang the soundtrack. Enjoy! Playlist of songs performed is in this space under Part 2.
