Title: Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background and Its Connection to Simple Leptogenesis Models Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss how a stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) can originate within the framework of canonical leptogenesis scenarios. In particular, I will show that simple leptogenesis models can naturally lead to an early matter-dominated era, tracking the leptogenesis scale up to the scale of grand unification. I will focus on two main consequences of this scenario. First, I will demonstrate how cosmic strings, naturally formed in this framework, radiate a characteristic SGWB that retains information about the leptogenesis scale. Second, I will show that leptogenesis models can also give rise to early structure formation, unlike the standard late-time structure formation in conventional cosmology, and how these early structures can generate gravitational waves with peak frequencies directly connected to the leptogenesis scale. Although these gravitational wave signatures are not smoking-gun evidence for leptogenesis, the non-observation of such signals would rule out otherwise untestable regions of parameter space in simple leptogenesis models. This talk is based on 2406.01231 and 2504.20135, in collaboration with Marco Chianese, Satyabrata Datta, Gennaro Miele, Ninetta Saviano, Guillem Domènech, and Theodoros Papanikolaou.
