Thor: Love And Thunder is electrifying and a big part of that is thanks to the sets and CGI.It’s brighter, it’s bigger, it’s more colorful, and it’s all thanks to the innovative minds that got together and created some awesome new tech. Like, the cool lighting system that can capture six different lightings of actors in one shot. And guess what? This isn’t a post-production thing, this is happening in real-time! Don’t believe us? You’re just going to have to watch to understand. Although, they can also do that stuff in post-production and do. Did you know Marvel movies basically plot out the entire movie in pre-vis and it’s like a little animated movie you’ll never get to see? New Asgard is one of the biggest sets most of these Marvel actors have ever been on. At least, that’s the case for Chris Hemsworth. And well, for one scene in the movie, they had to get some additional photography. So they had to completely remake the set digitally. How they did it is answered in the video. Remember when surround sound became a thing? Probably not. Well, surround environments are the new thing using LED panels literally all over the place. To the left. To the right. Up above. Just not in front of the camera. It’s game-changing. Despite all of this amazing tech, the movie has been criticised for poor CGI work and Taika Waititi has something to say about that… Well, really he doesn’t. He doesn’t care too much.
