It will cut your hands with its sharp edges, the Ctrl, Fn, Win and Alt keys are rearranged, the volume up button is on the left of the volume down button, the mouse buttons are painful to use, the backlight is dim and it has destructive cut and paste buttons built right into the top row. Even so, this is about as good as it gets anymore for large HTPC keyboards since Logitech left the discontinued K830 without an heir. This keyboard has this stuff: Backlit Independent Volume Controls Full sized keyboard Good battery life Responsive trackpad with left and right buttons Both 2.4Ghz dongle and Bluetooth connectivity Trackpad interaction triggers illumination. I will research the best way to reassign keys so this thing does what I want. Even if it does cut my hands when I hold it, it's still a good looking desk keyboard. This keyboard (Amazon): https://amzn.to/3FKx5Ou This keyboard (Alibaba): https://www.alibaba.com/product-detai... Arteck Keyboard: https://amzn.to/4e1zDEw Mini Keyboard: https://amzn.to/4jOS54H I'm holding this keyboard in bed while looking up at the ceiling projector. The base plastic protrudes too far and has sharp edges that hurt my hand webbing. The position of the mouse buttons is too low and they are too narrow. Even in this dark room, the brightest backlight setting is too dim to make me happy. Maybe I'll send this back to China and keep the Arteck. I still prefer typing on a large keyboard than a mini keyboard. I edited this entire video using this keyboard. I'm now holding it on my cross legged lap in bed as I sit up to eat the pizza. With the receiver dongle 3m away through a concrete wall, I am getting a couple of key misses, which means the receiver dongle is weaker than the Logitech K830 and the Arteck HB305-4B. The keyboard is a LOT more comfortable to use when typing downwards rather than upside down. The incorrect positioning of the Ctrl, Fn, Win and Alt keys make nearly all my photo and editing software 10x slower. This keyboard will cost me productivity if I don't reassign those buttons. I would swap the physical keys as well so they are marked properly if I succeed. There's no way I can use this thing for work until I do that. The volume buttons are just as clumsy and stupid as you guessed they would be after seeing them in the video, but they work. My problems with the Arteck HB305-4B (the best large HTPC keyboard of 2025 until today) are: No dedicated volume buttons, Trackpad doesn't illuminate keyboard, mouse buttons too low, Bluetooth causes lag so scrolling and click and drag are glitchy. Here is my conclusion: All the keyboards in this review series are terrible compared to the Logitech K830. If you want a large HTPC keyboard to work from your sofa, you should go and find a K830. I would expect to pay $300+ for a used one. If you are just a lowly consumer who uses their HTPC for watching movies then its a no brainer - get a mini keyboard to put with your other home theatre remotes.
