Medieval Fair Free Lecture Series Line to Life: Bringing Historical Costume to Reality Presented by historical fiction author and clothing historian Cheryl L-G Trent Author of: Medusa: Her Story and Daughter’s Fortune: Not a Pirate Book (Not a Pirate Series) EAST Norman Public Library, 3051 E. Alameda Street Friday, October 17th, 2025, 6:15pm CST About the author Cheryl Trent is a dyslexic neurodivergent Historian from Texas/Oklahoma. Despite limitations, her passion for writing never waned. Being the daughter of a sailor and accountant, and the mother of a cook and artist her knowledge is diverse. She is also a member and raising members of the LGTBQIA+ community. Cheryl loves to write about stories skirting famous events and specializes in Ancient, Medieval, Native American and Clothing History. Additionally, she loves to tell stories of the interlopers and outcasts. The parts of history not written in books but did exist. Her goal is to share fun, adventurous stories that express the struggles of women, outsiders, and the invisible. The Medieval Fair Free Lecture Series is cosponsored by the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies University of Oklahoma. This event is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Norman Arts Council Hotel Tax Grant Program.
